MACHAKOS Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala is facing a grilling session by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)  over alleged theft and diversion of pipes.
The pipes, valued at Sh23 million, were  intended for an irrigation project in Kibauni Location as an anti-poverty intervention but were diverted to his Masinga farm(Pictured Right) by the contractor.

THE Wife of a Kitui County Minister is among five businesspeople charged with stealing nearly Sh 28m from the County. Faith Kithele Mulatya,36, also a gospel singer, Sarah Wangui Kamau, 39, Mary Waithera Gikungu, 49, and Margaret Musee, 36,  and Alex Kioko are accused of hacking the county’s accounts at various banks between March and December last year, stealing  Sh 27.8m.

EVEN as a Machakos Court set free four school boys charged with burning down a dormitory at Kitie Sec­ondary School, the ruling amounts to an in­dictment of the school’s man­agement as a whole.The ruling is so harsh on the ad­min­is­tration of the school that Principals with similar cases pending in court are having sleepless nights and stupor on their part is likely to be exposed in court.
