Ex KNUT boss to head Machakos Public Service


Mutisya to chair the CPSB

 The Machakos County Assembly today approved the 10 appointees of Governor Wavinya Ndeti to fill various vacant positions in  her government.

When appointed, Machakos will have a total of 34 Chief Officers, becoming the only county to have such a large number of COs. The current number stands at 26.

A communique from the assembly issued today said Members of the County Assembly approved the appointment of the Chairperson to the County Public Service Board, a member to the Board and Chief officers to the different County Departments as follows:

1. Albanus Paul Mutisya - Chairperson, County Public Service Board.
2. Marleen Misco Mwanika - Member.
3. Kasinga Julius muindi - Health department, Health Facilities and infrastructure development docket.
4.Winnie Musyoki -Lands, physical planning, housing, urban development & Energy department ;Sewerage, Sanitation and waste Management docket.
5.Machogu Ian Obare - Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue Management and ICT department; Information, Communication& Technology Infrastructure.
6.Sheikh Ifrah Abdi - Trade, innovation tourism, culture and industrial development department; digital economy docket.
7. Bernadette Wavinya Mutiso - Devolution department; Public participation, citizen engagement and customer service.
8. Mutunga Zipporah Kavata - Trade, Tourism Culture and Industrial Development department; Small and medium enterprise development docket.
9. Mule Daniel Lemba - Devolution department; Public Communication and E-Government docket.
10. Mulwa Albert Katumo - Agriculture, food security, co-operative development and marketing department; livestock and fisheries development docket.
The above Officers were vetted by the County Assembly Sectoral Committees on 27th April 2022.
Kavata replaces Peter Mutwiwa who was discovered to have used fake University of Nairobi papers to secure his job.
When naming Kavata for the post, Wavinya remained quiet over the fate of Mr Mutwiwa and The Anchor has not been able to verify what is his status in the government.
