Dr Mutua pledges radical changes

Jitters in Dr Mutua's Cabinet
A reshuffle is in the offing within Dr. Alfred Mutua Cabinet in Machakos County Government.
The strongest signal about the impending reshuffle is contained in a FB post Dr Mutua posted on his page, promising radical changes in the Department of Health and Emergency Services.

"...I will soon be making radical changes in the Department of Health and Emergency Services to make sure that the people of Machakos receive the services they deserve", said Govenor Mutua in a furious post which he based on ' painful inefficient service delivery' in Mwala Winnie and Matuu Level 4 hospitals that he had just paid unscheduled visits on Monday.
Mutua said his finding contradicted briefs that he had been given by government officials and his remarks have send tongues wagging as to which level of officials brief him, if not his ministers.
It wil be his first major re-engineering of his 'war council', since he made minor adjustments after the failed impeachment of his deputy Bernard Kiala, whom he relieved of the Human Resource Management and IT role.
The move is coming after a raid by the anti graft agency at the County Assembly that left about 10 people facing corruption charges.
The question is: Which ministers will go?
The following is Dr Mutua's entire post "This morning I made impromptu visits to Mwala and Matuu Level 4 Hospitals and and Matuu Town to assess the level of service delivery in the facilities.
Contrary to reports that I have always been given by Government officials, I was shocked to find that the hospitals:
· Lack water
· Lack medicines
· There is painful inefficient service delivery
It is for these reasons that I will soon be making radical changes in the Department of Health and Emergency Services to make sure that the people of Machakos receive the services they deserve
I campaigned on a platform of bringing to the people a service-centred administration. A government that will put the interests of the citizens first and change their lives by delivering services that though their rights have been deprived of them by retrogressive leadership. These essential services include among other things good healthcare
