Martin Kivuva becomes Archbishop of Mombasa
The Bishop of Machakos, the Rt. Rev. Martin Kivuva Musonde is the new Archbishop of Mombasa.

Kivuva, a former journalist whose appointment as Bishop of Machakos took many by surprise will succeed the late Archbishop Boniface Lele who died in office recently.
He is the third Bishop of Machakos after Archbishop emeritus Raphael Ndingi Mwanaa Nzeki and the late Bishop Urbanus Kioko whom he succeeded in March 15 2003.
Born in Muthetheni on February 10 1952, the new Archbishop has served as Bishop for almost 12 years, having served priesthood for 36 years.
Archbishop Kivuva,s appointment was made on December 9 2014 and will officially take office in February 2015.
