Makueni, Machakos officials
named in corruption roll

THE Makueni County Speaker Stephen Ngelu and a host of Makueni MCAs have finally made it to the national List of Shame over corruption.

The listing involves trips made abroad on private basis and their subsequent connivance to claim allowances from the County Assembly. A total of 8 officials from Makueni are on the list of suspects required to step aside to be investigated.
They are Mr Ngelu, MCAs Bernard Kiswii, Cosmas Mutunga, Bensley Mathuku, Timothy Maneno, Muli Mwenze and Bernard Musau. Others are the County Secretary Rael Muthoka and Supply Chain Manager Alex Mutuku.
Machakos County Secretary Francis Mwaka is also listed. The Anchor publishes blow names of other officials listed as suspects.
Principal Secretary Transport Nduva Muli:
Muli is allegedly linked to irregular disposal of Kenya Railways properties in Nairobi and other cities in the country in addition to influencing procurement process. He is also allegedly involved in irregular award of SGR tender to a Chinese company.
