Governor Ngilu’s date for Kitui healthcare in the US
GOVERNOR Kaluki Ngilu is scheduled to pitch the case for Kitui healthcare in the United States when she meets the World Medical Relief President.
Governor Ngilu has placed Healthcare as the second pillar of her manifesto and is poised to launch an ambitious Universal Health Care (UHC) for all Kitui people in coming months and has been pulling on all stops possible to provide Kitui with affordable and accessible medication since she took office in 2017.
The UHC, to be known as County Health Insurance Cover (CHIC) will be a flagship project under Health that aims at ensuring that everyone in Kitui who subscribes membership can access treatment in government hospitals without having to pay a cent. Other pillars in Governor Ngilu’s manifesto include Food and water, Education and Youth Development, Women Empowerment and Wealth Creation.
The meeting with the World Medical Relief President Dr. George v. Samson will take place at the organization’s headquarters at Melrose Avenue, Southfield in Michigan tomorrow Friday, March 23, 2018. Kitui Health and Sanitation Minister Ms. Rosaita Ngina, who departed for the United States Tuesday, will join the governor at the meeting.
