Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has told the Akamba in Taita Taveta to forget the county's Gobernatorial seat .
Speaking during a meet the people tour in Taita Taveta Kalonzo asked Kambas to respect the Taita Taveta residents by leaving the governor's seat to them .
" I can not allow a kamba to vie for Taita Taveta gubernatorial seat " said Kalonzo .
Kalonzo advised Kambas in Taita Taveta to seek other positions at ministerial level,saying the only top seat they can expect is the deputy governor's seat .
The move has angered a section of Kambas in social media groups, questioning the legal basis of the edict.
Commentators see the utterances as unfounded and misleading.
Taita Taveta county has a heavy kamba population and has had kamba people competitively elected in the past.
His critics say there are better issues affecting the people of Taita Taveta like border issues, cattle rustling, banditry , wild animals among others .
