Ngilu's vow over Kamba unity

Ngilu, Kalonzo to
cement Kamba unity

By Philip Muteti

KITUI Governor Kaluki Ngilu today joined former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka at a harambee for Ghai Secondary School in Mwingi. Speaking at the event, Governor Ngilu said she will join hands with all elected leaders in the county to move the county in achieving her manifesto.

She said she will be working  with Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo to all corners of the county and beyond in order to ensure that they first cement the community’s unity at home.

Ngilu further said she is happy as governor because of the strides the county has realised since she took over.

“I am happy that for the first time in history, Kitui referral hospital has conducted successful brain surgery and has the best equipment and no more referrals as it was before,” said Ngilu.

The governor said she was extremely glad the county is now food secure and with no more need of relief food as was the case before.

Kalonzo called on Kitui leaders including MPs, MCAs, Senator Enoch Wambua and woman representative Irene Kasalu to support Ngilu in her five pillar development agenda aimed at fighting poverty and empowering residents economically.

The former Vice President described the governor as an important political  pillar that boosted National Super Alliance (NASA) and his political standing nationally during the last General Election.
