Kalonzo says land dealer was Killed

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has charged that Athi land dealer Pius Musembi Kivindu was killed.

Kalonzo,in a bold speech over the yet unresolved death,  alleged that the cause of death was well planned and ruled out a possible accident.

"I visited the scene where the alleged accident happened and assessed his injuries. In my own mind it will take time to be convinced that Musembi was not Killed", Kalonzo said 

The former Vice President eulogized the deceased as a personal friend who was championing the land rights of the Kamba urging the relevant bodies to ensure they probe the death to stop speculation being associated with the death.

"I saw Commissioner Nyage here,he is a Commissioner for Operations at the police headquarters,can you please investigate this matter of your friend.Iam convinced that Musembi didn't die of an accident", he stressed. 

The wiper leader revealed that even before Musembi's death, the land dealer had received threats which were recorded in the police Occurrence Book.

"Even at shalom where we found Musembi lying lifeless,there were people talking.Chairman Muimi told me there is a record of ten threats recorded against the life of Musembi" Kalonzo said 

According to police report Pius Musembi Kivindu, 60, was killed in a self involving fatal accident while driving towards Nairobi City Centre along the Mombasa Road Highway.

 Kalonzo immediately called on the police to probe the death of the businessman who perished on March 26, 2023.

No one else spoke about the cause of Musembi's death- not even his immediate family.

A person who saw his remains say one of his eye was dislodged from its socket, leaving a visible hole.

Family and friends have not publicly shared the findings of an autopsy conducted on his body, further fueling speculations about the cause of death.
