Governor Ndeti revokes appointment of PSB members
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti today removed 5 members of the County Public Service Board from office.
She effected the removal by revoking their names in a gazette notice.
The revocation followed a vote at the Machakos County Assembly where 48 members voted to remove them. It follows a motion loaded with a litany of allegations of misconduct and misuse of office.
Assembly Speaker Anne Kiusya announced the outcome of the vote against each member and concluded that the tally affirmed a vote to remove them.
Three officials, Onesmus Muia Mutisya, (Secretary), Cecilia Mbinya Sereka, and Stella Ndinda Muthoka, were removed from office on a majority vote. The three were not at the Assembly during the session.
The board chairman Mr George Kioko Luka quit his seat a day to the vote.
Nine members voted to retain the Board members. One MCA abstained from the exercise citing a conflict of interest on both sides.
