Machakos University closed
MACHAKOS University has been closed down.
The Vice Chancellor Prof Lucy Irungu announced the closure in a three page internal memo to the students that required them to vacate university premises with immediate effect.
Due to the evolving insecurity situation around the University and the on-going students' demonstrations, a Special Meeting convened on December 7, 2022 resolved that in the interest of staff and students, the University be closed with immediate effect
The professor of Entomology added that further communication would be done in due course.
