Police impound bhang in Makueni

Sh 5 m Bhang impounded

Police in Makueni have impounded 19 bags of bhang valued at Sh5 Million . Speaking to  the press 
at Sultan Hamud police station, Makueni County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim
said the bhang originated from Tanzania through Migori  and was en-route to Mombasa through the

Maalim confirmed that the  bhang was ferried in two cars and the police managed to arrest two suspects while
one of the drivers fled. He warned those peddling drugs in Makueni that their days are numbered. 
Meanwhile the police have arrested a driver and a conductor of a lorry suspected to be selling contraband 
sugar along Wote- Makindu road this morning. The lorry and the suspects are at Makueni police station. 

Police in Emali again siezed 100 cartons of illicit brew. The County Commissioner said the alcohol contained 
fake Kenya Revenue Authority stamps.
