Speaking today at Kathithyamaa Secondary School in his constituency when presenting a bursary cheque of Kes. 1.28 million at the school, Mr Kyule decried the poor results  in the region, saying they are unacceptable and called for corrective action to be taken. "This is a matter of grave concern and that something urgent ought to be done,'' he said.
He expressed concern only  few students in the area are going to University while  majority of them  had  scored E's. He called on parents to invest more in children for a better future.
Mr Kyule said quality education was one of the most effective tools in the fight against deep rooted poverty in the region. " It is important for parents to remember they have a huge role to play in supporting improvement of education standards", said the legislator.
Education standards in Kangundo an area that performed well in exams has been going down over the years. In 2022 the sub-county was the last in county  at position 8.
