Rally driver Jeremiah Wahome and co-driver: Victor Okundi is the winner of the Kenya National Rally Championship( KNRC) Machakos season-opener. He emerged first after clocking 01 hour:59 minutes and39,13 seconds.

He was followed by MC Rea Kimathi and Mwangi Kinoti who powered their Ford Escort in1hour,59minutes and 46,17 seconds. The third position was taken by Jasmeet Chana and Ravi Chana in a Mistubishi Evolution, clocking 2hours,3 minutes and 34.13 seconds.
Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti who flagged off the event and witnessed the conclusion congratulated the drivers as he presented trophies for their performances." I congratulate the Winners of Round One of the Kenya National Safari Rally Championship that has just been concluded in Machakos County. It was a tough race.", she said.
Kenyan drivers swept all the top 3 positions with a Ugandan- Yassin Nasser and Joseph Kamya coming in 4th in the competition that brought together 15 drivers from East African countries.
