size does not matter

Matinyani Boys Secondary school has proved it's academic prowess after flooring well known schools not only in Eastern Region but in Kenya.
The school located at the inner slopes of Kitui West posted a mean score of 9.942 compared to 8.296 mean score that they posted in 2021 representing 1.65 improvement index.
The results have sent a shiver to their long time competitor St Charles Lwanga School which had a mean score of 8.18.
Matinyani school had 240 students candidates who has sat for 2022 KCSE exams and to the shock of many, all qualified for University with the last student attaining B (constant). It set a record that is hard to sustain. The bar is set too high for other schools and certainly Matinyani itself.
This has higly mapped the school and touches are wagging not just in Kitui but the entire country.
St Ann Muthale Girls which is also a local academic giant posted somewhat good results with a mean score of 8.03, but not when it carries the emblem of a National School.
That is why AIC Sombe Girls in Kitui South became the talk of Kitui with 81 candidates out of 82 who sat for the KCSE securing direct entry to University. With such a performance Muthale, Kitui High School, Mulango Girls and even St Angela's face the possibility of sliding into the oblivion.
Celebrations for the results are still ongoing across different schools in Kitui county after several schools posted impressive results.
St Angela's Girls which has for long been reveredas academic giant were floored by little known schools with the school postering mean school of 6.935.
