Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr has established a Taskforce to drive industrial investment in the county.
It will be chaired by his Deputy Ms Lucy Mulili. Today, Mulili chaired a session of the taskforce to ensure Makueni’s industrialization and investments preparedness.
The Taskforce agreed to draw an investment engagement plan encompassing resource mapping, primary investment opportunities identification, investments policy formulation and creating an intergovernmental collaboration framework with the state department of industrialization and other state actors.
With support of California based business consultant Dr Jerry Ngati, the taskforce is upbeat that Makueni County is capable of championing and leading the scramble for industrialization among counties outside of major Kenyan cities.
