kills boss's daughter

A 29-year-old man on Wednesday evening handed himself to the Police in Kithyoko, Masinga Sub-county after raping and killing a Grade Six pupil in a most gruesome murder.
The shocking incident has sparked public outcry in the region. Area Assistant Chief Raphael Musyoka yesterday said the suspect, Wilson Ngui, who was a farmhand working for Mr Patrick Keya Mkala of Kanyonga village, Kithyoko location confessed to have committed the murder after a disagreement with the 12-year-old girl.. The nature of the disagreement remains undisclosed.
The administrator said the girl, Kavingi Keya,12, who was a Standard Six pupil at Kanyonga Primary School was alone at home after arriving from school at around 4pm on Wednesday.
"The girl's mother Eunice Mwikali was away in the market, when the incident occurred at around 4pm on Wednesday. The the girl had just arrived home from school. The girl was attacked while at her parents' home. She was raped, then stabbed her twice on her neck," the assistant chief added.
He said the suspect admitted the chronology of events during interrogation at Kithyoko police station. " He admitted that he raped the girl and stabbed her neck with a kitchen knife. He finished her off using a jembe. He hit her on the head" the administrator explained
The attacker then proceeded to the police station to report the murder. The victim had visible stub injuries on the left side of the neck and head. A blood stained kitchen knife and jembe were recovered at the crime scene " , the assistant chief added
The body of the deceased was taken to Mbaku Funeral Home in Matuu as the suspect was placed in police custody.
Mr Musyoka warned residents against employing strangers without a proper check on their backgrounds. He said the suspect who claimed to be from Nguni area in Kitui County did not have an identity card and it was difficult to trace his people.
